R. Hinkle, aged about 30 years. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. McCune, pioneers in Benton, was born there. Dread consumption was the cause of her death. She leaves a husband to greive in the loss of a loving wife and helpmate, and a father and three brothers and sisters: Mrs. D. W. Ow, Mrs. Al Conly, Mrs. J. C. Osborn of Pueblo, Mrs. Myrtle Cole, and Chas. H. McCune of Beaver, Oklahoma and John B. McCune. Mrs. Hinkle was from earliest girlhood a member of the Christian church. The funeral was held from the Christian church in Benton June 13, at 3:30 and it was attended by a very large concourse of the family's old-time friends and neighbors, accompanying the body from El Dorado were Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Herbert, Frank Wilson and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Jno Davis, Mrs. Rosa Arterburn Withers of Arkansas City, Carl Powell and wife Mr. and Mrs. Chas Harvey, Dr. and Mrs. Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Ow, Mr and Mrs. Al Coney and Roy Ballard.
