N. Joseph passed away, after a long sickness. She came with her husband to Kansas in an early day and braved the then new country. They were Virginans and pioneer life was something of a cross to them, though they bore it well. Mrs. Joseph was a kindly soul, loved by a wide circle. Mr. Joseph survives this honored, loving wife and companion. Her children are Mrs. M. C. Snorf of Whitewater, Mrs. Ashenfelter, Mrs. Ullum, Mrs. Ralph, A. S., Raleigh, Frank and Miss Sadie Joseph.
