Mrs. Benton Leavering died at home near Benton Sunday from a stroke of 
apoplexy followed by a stroke of paralysis, at the age of about 40 years. Mrs. 
Leavering and her husband were old residents of Butler County. She leaves five 
children. She was buried in the Benton cemetery, the funeral occurring April 
18, at 10 o’clock.
