H. Lemon. Ruth Cora Morgan was born in Madison county, Ohio, September 14, 1858. In 1865 she moved to Coffey county, this state and came to Butler county in April 1873. She was married to Thomas H. Lemon, July 25, 1875. She leaves her husband, a son, Ralph I. Lemon of Coffeyville, her mother, Mrs. M. E. Copeland of El Dorado; a brother, M. I. Morgan of this city and two sisters, Mrs. H. M. Logan of El Dorado and Mrs. Laura Crook of Oklahoma City, to mourn the loss of kind and loving wife, mother and sister. Mrs. Lemon was converted in 1886 and became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. She has always been a faithful and consistent Christian and an ardent worker for the cause of Christianity. The funeral occurred from the home this afternoon at 2:30, the services being conducted by Rev. Burns, and she was laid to rest in the West Cemetery.
