She had not been in good health for some time, though her condition was not considered serious. Sunday morning, March 23, she recognized her family then sank into a comatose "state" from which she never rallied. Mrs. Parke was a motherly woman who loved her home and children, living a Christian life, charitable and kind to all. Her husband and six children now survive her. The funeral services were held Tuesday, March 25, at the home which was filled with sympathizing friends who came to pay their respects to the departed. Rev. J. W. Moore of Wichita, preached a short sermon. Upon the casket were beautiful floral wreaths. Her body was followed to the cemetery by many friends.
