PEFFER FUNERAL HELD YESTERDAY

Four members of the El Dorado Business & Professional Women’s Club attended the 
funeral services, which were held yesterday afternoon at Eureka, over the body 
of Mrs. Susan H. Peffer, who committed suicide by hanging herself at her home 
Sunday morning. The four were: Mrs. Nellie Lichlyter, Mrs. Anna Sandin, Miss 
Ethel Lewis and Miss Blanche Hollinshead. Mrs. Peffer was state president of 
the Professional & Business Women’s Clubs and one of the widely and most 
favorably known residents of the Eureka Community, where she had lived for a 
number of years. She had been in El Dorado many times and had a large number of 
friends in this community.

The funeral was one of the largest attended ever held in Eureka.
