C. H. SELIG DIES YESTERDAY Mrs. C. H. Selig, 115 North Washington Street, a resident of El Dorado for 45 years, died here late yesterday morning. She was 70 years old and had been in ill health for the past eight months. Mrs. Selig was well known in El Dorado and community. She was born in Illinois but came to Kansas when a young woman. Mrs. Selig was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Dr. Shattuck, of London, England, a niece, Mrs. E. l. Lax, of Edwardsvill, Ill., and a brother-in-law who resides in Forth Washington, N.Y. Funeral arrangements are being postponed pending word from relatives. Tentative arrangements, however call for the services to be held Wednesday afternoon. The Byrd Funeral Home is in charge. The El Dorado Times Tuesday, August 22, 1933 SELIG FUNERAL TO BE TOMORROW Funeral services for Mrs. C. H. Selig, well known El Dorado woman who died here Sunday, will be held at the Byrd Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock. Rev. R. M. Truesdale, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Belle Vista Cemetery. The El Dorado Times Thursday, August 24, 1933 SELIG FUNERAL HELD YESTERDAY Funeral services for Mrs. C. H. Selig, pioneer El Dorado resident, who died here Sunday, were held at the Byrd Funeral Home yesterday afternoon with Rev. R. M. Truesdale, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. A large group of friends and relatives were in attendance and an abundance of floral offerings testified to the respect in which she was held. The services were simple but impressive with but one organ number, “Some Golden Daybreak,” being played. Pallbearers were C. C. Shelden, F. S. Allen, Floyd Sanford, Holton Hitchcock, H. Levinson and C. O. Boston. Interment was made in Belle Vista Cemetery.
