James Smith, who was 77 years old, death occurred at Manhattan, and funeral services were held Thursday at the Christian Church at Leon with the pastor, Rev. Mr. Baker in charge. Mr. Smith is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Smith, and one daughter, Mrs. G. M. Crawford also of Manhattan, to which place the family moved a number of years ago. Also surviving are the grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Crawford, of Pittsburgh, Penn.; Mr. and Mrs. James Crawford, Warren, Ohio; and Miss Goldie Crawford, of Manhattan; and two great-grandchildren Janice and James Crawford of Warren, Ohio.
