DUANE STEWART DIES IN WICHITA C. Duane Stewart, 40 years old, a resident of El Dorado until about seven years ago, died at 5 o’clock this morning at his home at Wichita, 328 South Chautauqua, following a long illness. His condition had become more serious during the past two months, until his recovery was despaired of. Mr. Stewart was born and reared at El Dorado and had many friends here. He was well known as a young man of exceptional ability, pleasing personality, and friendly disposition, and all who knew him are greatly grieved by his passing. Mr. Stewart is survived by his widow and two children, Virginia, 13 years old and Donald, seven. Mr. Stewart was the last member of his immediate family, his only sister, Mrs. E. A. Berry who lived in Arkansas, having died last year on Decoration Day. Mrs. Stewart is a sister of Paul Cruitt, who is an employee of the Western Distributing Company here. Another brother, Carl Cruitt and their mother also reside at El Dorado. The funeral arrangements had not been completed at noon today. The El Dorado Times Thursday, January 14, 1932 STEWART FUNERAL WILL BE TOMORROW Funeral services for C. Duane Stewart, former resident of El Dorado, who died yesterday morning at his home at Wichita following a long illness will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Lahey & Martin Mortuary, in Wichita. Dr. Leslie Miller, pastor of the College Hill Methodist Church of Wichita, will conduct the services. Mr. Stewart was a member of this church, and had taken a leading part in many of the church activities. Burial will be in the Wichita Park Cemetery.
