Strait, Route 6, who was fatally injured Tuesday morning while working on a feed grinder near his home, were held this morning at the Byrd Funeral Home with Rev. Fred W. Condit, pastor of the Christian Church, officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Morris, Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Ferguson and Junior Ferguson sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," "Sometime We'll Understand," and "Face to Face," accompanied by Mrs. Lucille Campbell. A large group of friends and relatives of Mr. Strait attended the services and an abundance of floral offerings filled the chapel and testified as to the popularity of the El Dorado man. Pallbearers were: Everett and Emmett Gifford, Kenneth and Martin Arnall, John Doornbos and G. D. Scribner. The body was taken to Winfield after the services where interment will be made.
