Turner, 73, 110 East Fourth, died here early this morning. A tool dresser for the Rex and Morris Drilling company, he had lived in El Dorado since 1917. Mr. Turner was born Nov. 29, 1880 in Douglass County, Mo., and was married to Alena Lewis on May 1, 1916 at Iola. He was a member of the Christian church. Survivors, besides his wife, include a son, Lt. Col. Lewis (Slick) Turner with the U.S. Air Force at Bremerhaven, Germany; a daughter, Mrs. Eunice Elliott, Nevada, Mo.; two brothers, W. C. Turner, Los Angeles, and L. J. Turner, rural El Dorado; two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Lowen, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Gertie Williams, California; and five grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Byrd Funeral Home.
