Mrs. Turner was 58 years old and was well known throughout Butler County, her father, Nelson Surpluss, having been one of the first settlers in Rosalia Township. Surviving are a brother, J. A. Surpluss, of Topeka, and two sisters, Mrs. J. A. Armor, and Mrs. Mary Heinbree, both of Wichita. Mrs. Surpluss was buried at Whittier, Calif.
