FORMER EL DORADOAN DIES IN MANHATTAN

News has been received here of the death yesterday of J. R. Woodfin, of 
Manhattan formerly of El Dorado. Mr. Woodfin had been in ill health for some 
time and his condition became critical two weeks ago when he suffered a 
paralytic stroke.

Mr. Woodfin was the father of Mrs. W. W. Hofsess of Manhattan, formerly of El 
Dorado, and an uncle of W. R. Smith, of El Dorado.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at Foster, Mo., Mr. 
Woodfin's former home. Mr. and Mrs. Smith will go to that place to attend the 
services.
