York, wife of Abram s. York died at the home of her son-in- law, Ed D. Richardson on Cleveland Avenue, Ponca City, Oklahoma, July 27, surrounded by relatives and friends, her husband and six children – Mesdames W. H. Anchmoody and E. D. Richardson, on Ponca City, Oklahoma, J. F. Stone of Morrice, Michigan, M. Fay, Montrose, Colorado, Mr. J. A. York of Dover, Oklahoma and Miss Mattie York, El Dorado, Kansas survive and mourn a loving, devoted wife and mother. Three of her children, Mesdames H. C. Buck, T. Thompson and Miss Julia York, are waiting to meet her in the heavenly home. Mrs. York was born in Orange County, N.Y., March 3, 1822. She united with the Presbyterian church when quite young and lived a consistent Christian all through her journey to the ripe age of 82 years, 4 months and 24 days. She came with her husband and children to Wichita, in 1872, and to Butler county in 1879, where they resided until 7 years ago they moved to Oklahoma where they have since made their home.
