She was born April 15, 1919 in Sedan, Kansas, the daughter of Christopher and Florence Ida (Mayberry) Shawver. She was reared and educated in Blackwell, Oklahoma; Dexter, Kansas and Maple City, Kansas. April 24, 1935 in Sedan, Lulavown married Thomas Nicholas who preceded her in death. She had worked as a school cook for the Cedar Vale schools and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cedar Vale. Survivors include a son, Keith Nicholas of Wolfe City, Texas; a daughter, Linda Scott of Independence, Kansas; a sister, Caroleen Mueller of Arkansas City, Kansas; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
