B. Oppenlander Mrs. Elizabeth B. Oppenlander, 88, died this morning at Medford Manor. She was born Sept. 24, 1885 near Industry, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bletscher. She had lived all of her life in Clay Country. Her husband, Norman, died in 1937. Survivors are a daughter, Merna, Mrs. Ivan Klocke, Green; a sun, Alfred C. Oppenlander and wife Elsie, Junction City; seven sisters, Mrs. Louis Peatling, Waterville, Mrs. Catherine Martin, Wymore, Nb., Mrs. Emma Bach and Mrs. Laurence Martin, Clay Center, Mrs. Herman Elsasser, Wakefield, Mrs. Christina Cohrs, Junction City and Mrs. John Sheedy, Abilene; three brothers, Charles Bletscher, Salina, Fre Fletscher, Wakefield, and Rudolph Bletscher, Abilene; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A brother and two sisters and her parents preceded her in death. Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 in the Neill-Schwensen Chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30. Additional Comments: Elizabeth Oppenlander was my great-grandmother.
