Henry Oppenlander dies Monday

Henry Oppenlander, 82, of 912 <unreadable>, Clay Center, dided Monday night at 
11:15 in the Clay County hospital.

Mr. Oppenlander was born September 16, 1873 in the Fancy Creek community, the 
son of the late Christopher and Catherine Oppenlander.  He has been a resident 
of clay county all of his lifetime.

Survivors include his wife, Viola, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Myra Conrad 
of Kansas City; four grandchildren; two brothers, Eli Oppenlander of Ogden and 
Ernest Oppenlander of Junction City; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Burns of 
Manhattan, Mrs. Amanda Manard of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Emma Evans of Clyde and 
Mrs. Mary Reed of Clay Center.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 in the Mert Schwensen 
chapel, with the Rev. James B. Carr in charge.  Interment will be in Greenwood 
cemetery.

Respect calls will be held Wednesday evening from 7-8:30.

Additional Comments:
Henry Oppenlander was my great-grandfather's brother.
