Mr. Oppenlander was born Aug. 13, 1969, in Indiana and was 90 years old. He came to Kansas in infancy and has been a resident of the state since that time. He was a member of the IOOF 281 in Ogden. Surviving Mr. Oppenlander is his wife, Mrs. Carrie Oppenlander of the home; 12 children, Mrs. Marie Branhill of Greelcy, Colo., Earl Oppenlander of the home, Mrs. Verena Brown of St. Louis, Mrs. Irene Hill of Belleville, Mrs. Pansy Heath of Milford, Norman C Oppenlander of Manhattan, Ralph Oppenlander of Ogden; Harry Openlander of Manhattan, Austin Oppenlander of Colorado Springs, Mrs. Lucile Kmnitz of Leonardville, Eli Oppenlander, Jr. and mrs. Ruby Flanders of Hiawatha; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Byrne of Manhatan, Mrs. Reed, Clay Center and Mrs. Emma Evans of Clyde; 35 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and 115 direct descendants.
