   P. W. Crawford asks divorce from Eliza J.
Crawford on the ground of cruelty, obscenity
and threats to kill plaintiff. They were 
married in September 1880, at Winfield.

   The first divorce suit of the year has just
been filed by the attorneys for P. W. Crawford,
who asks the court to legally declare asunder 
the marriage relations between himself and 
Eliza J. Crawford. They were married in Winfield
in December 1880, and the husband says he has
conducted himself in a proper manner at all times.
The two separated in September last and, in July
previous engaged in a spirited affray, so says
the petition, in which the husband was seized by
the wrists and badly bruised and tormented until
life became unbearable. He asks for a divorce 
and appears to have an unusual number of reasons
to support his request.
