Mar. 14, 1939 d. Mar. 26, 2011 FRONTENAC — William "Terry" Moody, 72, of Frontenac died at 10:44 P.M. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Landmark Hospital at Joplin, Missouri. Mr. Moody was born March 14, 1939 at the family home in Frontenac the son of William and Helen Katherine Jones Moody. Terry was a retired engineer and director of purchasing for McNally Manufacturing in Pittsburg where he worked for 25 years. He was a lifelong Frontenac resident. He was raised in Frontenac and graduated from Frontenac High School in 1957. He later attended Kansas State Teachers College now PSU and received a degree in engineering. He loved his family, Frontenac, Raider football, fishing, the Chiefs, and the Jayhawks. He served in the Army Reserves. He married Gayle Restivo on May 26, 1960 at Miami, Oklahoma. Gayle survives at the home. Terry was a member of the Frontenac United Methodist Church, in 1967 he joined the Pittsburg Masonic Lodge, 1968 the Ft. Scott Scottish Rites and the Mirza Shrine in which he served as Treasurer, he was president of the MacPitt Club, he served on the Frontenac School Board for 16 years, the Frontenac City Council for 12 years, he was a member of the Frontenac Quarterback Club, and served on the Arab Patrol at the Mirza Shrine and was president of the club. Survivors include his wife, Gayle of the home, three sons, Bill Moody and his wife Vicki of Frontenac, Tom Moody and his wife Heidi of Frontenac, and Bob Moody and his wife Michelle of Pittsburg, eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Himebrook, Mike Dostal, Anthony Moody, Allie, Abbie and Annie Moody, and Maggie and Margo Moody, one great granddaughter, Londyn Himebrook, and two nephews, Tim Windsor and his wife Judith of Frontenac, and Bill Windsor and his wife Linda of Grove, Oklahoma, and two dear friends, Chester and Virginia Merando of Frontenac. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carole Windsor.
