Brown buwbrown@comcast.net August 28, 2008, 1:56 pm Unknown Oberlin paper, 1906 Mary C. Penny was born at Ithaca, New York, August 30, 1831. Was married to Benjamin F. Teasdale December 25, 1854; to this union were born four children, three are still living; Edward L. lives in California, William J. in Idaho, and Frederick L. of Chicago. She was a devoted christian woman, a member of the Presbyterian church and died in the full triumphs of a complete faith and confidence of a home in that beautiful land. Her's was a lovable character and her death brings sorrow to a large concourse of friends. It is expected that the funeral will take place today from the Presbyterian church if the son from California arrives on time, after which intrment will be in the Oberlin cemetery. Rev. Crain will conduct the services.
