Obituary of EICHOLTZ, George H. Dickinson County, KS 2002 Published October 03, 2002 5:16 PM CDT in The Abilene Reflector-Chronicle for Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002 TOPEKA--George H. Eicholtz, 88, Topeka, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at a Topeka retirement home. He was born April 22, 1914, at Abilene, the son of Harold and Bertha (Minnick) Eicholtz. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1937. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired after 22 years of active and reserve service as a lieutenant colonel in the Corps of Engineers. He married Virginia Elizabeth Trusdale on May 28, 1937. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th Ave., Topeka. Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
