Obituary of UNRUH, Edith R.  Dickinson County, KS 2002

Edith R. Unruh, 87, former Abilene resident, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at the 
Forum Healthcare Center, Overland Park.

She was born Dec. 30, 1914, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of John Henry and 
Lyda (Lange) Jeffers. She attended schools in Clarion, Iowa, Ellinwood and 
Scott City.

She married Edward Unruh on Feb. 14, 1938. They lived in Tampa before moving to 
Abilene in 1961.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at 
Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, Abilene, with Pastor Ken Engle officiating. 
Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Roxbury Cemetery, Roxbury.

Visitation will be until time of service at the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral 
Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heifer International or Kansas City 
Hospice and left at the funeral home.
