St. Joseph Daily Gazette, St. Joseph, Missouri, 6 June 1873
Our whole community was last week brought to mourn the untimely death of Anna E.
Irvin, grand-daughter of Rev. S. M. Irvin and step-daughter of Dr. J. Leigh. 
She was a bright flower and a very general favorite with a large circle of
acquaintances.  As a testimonial of esteem and sympathy with the bereaved family
her funeral was attended by the largest concourse of people ever assembled in
Highland on such an occasion.
