Sixteen Douglas County Men Accepted for Army.

Sixteen men from this county were inducted into the armed services at Fort
Leavenworth Juen 21. the men, who will all serve with the army, will report back
to Leavenworth, July 5. They are:
John Howard JONES, Baldwin.
James Horace FRAME, Jr., 646 North Fifth.
Kenneth Eugene DANIELS, route 2, Lawrence.
Wayne Bernard TRAYNOR, 745 Elm.
Dean STULTZ, Jr., route 1, Richland.
Phil Ross CATO, Jr., Haskell Institute.
Merle Emery McCLURE, route 6, Lawrence.
Leanord Marshall MAYHUGH, Jr., 1213 Pennsylvania.
John William POPHAM, Eudora.
James Donald JONES, 309 Indiana
Lindell Kenneth CHAPPELL, 646 California.(Volunteer).
Donald Glenn LINDLEY, 938 Rhode Island.(Volunteer, aviation cadet.)
Gerald Leonard LINDENBERGER, 2217 Massachusetts,..(Volunteer.)
William Edward WAY, route 5.
Karl Clifford KAPPELMAN, 1447 Massachusetts.
Robert Wayne ADKISSON, 2233 Louisana.
