William Herbert BEATTY, a former resident of Lawrence, died Saturday morning, June 26, in St. Joseph, Mich. William Herbert Beatty, eldest son of the Rev. Archibald Beatty and Mary Seeds Beatty, was born in the rectory of St. Peter's Church, Clarksboro, N.J., on July 8, 1857. He was brought to Wyandotte, Kan., in 1866 and lived in the state until 1903. The Rev. Archibald Beatty was rector of Trinity Episcopal church, Lawrence, from 1879 to 1888, and was a member of the board of regents for eight years. Willliam Herbert Beatty is survived by one daughter, Mary Seeds Beatty, one granddaughter, Carol Ann WIGDOLL, of St. Joseph, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Beatty OLIVER, Lawrence; two nieces, Mrs. ALice Oliver CAMPBELL of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Ralph L. BROWN, Montclair, N.J.; and one nephew, Archibald Beatty OLIVER, of Lawrence. His two brothers, George Beatty and Leighton V.
