William James BURGESS died Sunday afternoon at the home of his son, Ervin O. Burgess, 1315 Haskell avenue. He was 79 years old. Funeral services will be held from the Rumsey funeral home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Rev. Paul B. LAWSON will conduct the services. Burial will be the Eudora cemetery. He is survived by four sons, Ervin O. Burgess and Edwin T. Burgess of Lawrence, Elmer A. Burgess of Spokane, Wash., and Ernest R. Burgess of Picayne, Miss.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ralpyh CLAAR of Oberlin, Kan., Mrs. A.L. HALE of Mankato, Kan., and Mrs. C.E.
