Ewing Lawrence - Alonzo B. Ewing, 76, Lawrence, died Monday in a hospital here. He had a heart attack. He was widely known as a business consultant and was one of the first certified public accounts in the Kansas-Missouri area. He was born Oct. 20, 1894, at Lawrence where he spent most of his life. He commuted regularly to business duties at Kansas City, for many years. He was a graduate of the former Lawrence Business College. Mr. Ewing was associated with a Kansas City accounting firm before he joined the Central Coal and Coke Co. of Kansas City in the 1920s. He later was associated with the Loose-Wiles Biscuit Co., now Sunshine Biscuit. He served as president of Flour Mills of America based in Kansas City after serving as a consultant for the same firm.
