GIBBS, formerly of Mt. Hope nursery, was born March 22, 1896, and died Monday, March 23, 1942, at the age of 46 years. He received his education in the Lawrence public and high schools. He moved to Texas in 1920 and had been a resident of Dallas since that time. In 1926 he was married to Miss Clara THOMPSON of Dallas and to this union two children, a son, Gordon Eugene, and a daughter, Barbara, were born. He served with the A.E.F. in France during the world war for two years. He was a member of the Second Presbyterian church in Lawrence. Gordon was a railway mail cleark, running from Dallas and Ft. Worth, Tex., to Little Rock, Ark., for 15 years. He is survived by his wife; a son, and daughter, mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Gibbs; one brother, Leslie Gibbs; two sisters, Mrs. Grace RICHARDSON and Mrs. Ann F. MONK, all of Dallas.
