William Lansing GILMORE died April 10, 1942, at the home of his sister, Mrs. J.W. GOWANS, Hutchinson, Kan. He was born near Lawrence, January 4, 1874. He graduated from Lawrence high school, and from 1900 to 1904 studied mechanical engineering at the University of Kansas. Mr. Gilmore for many years was associated with various industrial concerns in the east and middle west. For several years he taught engineering at Highland Park college, Des Moines, Ia. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Surviving are his wife, Ada C. Gilmore, a brother, Charles M. Gilmore; four sisters, Eleanor M. Gowans, Hutchinson, Ada G. KIRCHOFF, Lawrence, Isabel E. Gilmore, Lawrence and Mildred G. KENT, Johnson county, Kansas. Funeral services will be conducted at the home, 319 E. Seventh street, Lawrence, Monday, April 13, at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Raymond A. Schweigler will officiate. Burial will be in Alliance, O.
