Sgt. Arthur D. Grant Was Son of Mr. and Mrs. B.L. Grant. Sgt. Arthur D. GRANT, aged 21 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. B.L. GRANT, 714 New Hampshire street, was killed Saturday in an aircraft accident near the army air base at Ephrata, Wash., according to word received by his parents from the war department. Segeant Grant was inducted into service on October 27, 1942. At the time of his induction he was employed at the Sunflower Ordnance Works. He was graduated from the University high school a few years ago. He was a first engineer on a P-17. Sergeant Grant is survived by his parents, one sister, Miss Betty Lou Grant of the home, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.W. PHILLIPS of Route one, Lawrence. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Three cousins of Sergeant Grant are in the service: Lieut. J.D. PHILLIPS, Jr., Pfc. Theodore CONLEY and Pvt. Jack GRANT. The youth's twin brother, Wilton D.
