Elmer Eugene LANGE, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer LANGE of McLouth, was born July 16, 1921. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy September 23, 1942, serving his country until September 4, 1943, when he was killed in the Pacific area, thus making the surpreme sacrifice in World War II. Eugene was a member of the Baptist church at McLouth. He attended McLouth high school, was an outstanding student, winning letters in both basketball and football. He was a favorite with his schoolmates and friends. He is survived by his father and mtoher and brother, Seaman 2nd class Edward T.
