Morgan, the former Miss Rachel Allison, died on January 24 in Lawrence, Kansas, following a stroke. She was born on a farm near Camden Point on June 14, 1891 to B.F. and Susie Dean Allison. In 1899 the family moved to Weston where she attended school and was graduated with honors in 1909. She attended school at Warrensburg Teachers College and taught first grade in Weston for a time. On June 9, 1914 she was married to J.W. Morgan and they made their home in Lawrence. Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Christian church in Lawrence. Survivors besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. H.C. Harris, Modesto, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. E.M. Hardesty of Kansas City and Mrs. Mayo Hardesty of Weston. Services will be Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Rumsey Chapel in Lawrence. Burial will be in Lawrence.
