Mrs. Hattie Penny.
Mrs. Hattie PENNY, 80 years old, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Herbert SCHURMAN of Effingham, Kan., with whom she had made her
home. She was the mother of M.N. PENNY and C.L. PENNY, both of Lawrence. Besides
the two sons and one daughter she is survived by 15 grandchildren. She also
leaves a brother, J.B. NUZUM of Highland.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the
Effingham community church and burial will be at Effingham cemetery.
