Case of Mrs. Ondenia Schultz, 27, First in County. Mrs. Ondenia SCHULTZ, 27 years old, of 1013 Connecticut street, died at Memorial hospital early this morning for infantile paralysis of the bulbar type after an illness starting last Sunday. She went tot he hospital only yesterday. Her physician, who was called onto the case last Tuesday, said Mrs. Schultz reported she first noticed difficulty in swallowing last Sunday. The bulbar type of th edisease that was fatal to Mrs. Schultz attacks the medulla oblongata, or upper part of the spine and results in paralysis of the respiratory tract muscles. The case was the first and only one reported in Douglas county thus far in the present epidemic situation that has been reported existing in the state. The management of the hospital said this afternoon that as a precautionary measure in view of the epidemic of the disease in th estate, they are urging that children not be taken to the hospital anymore than necessary and that visiting to the hospital be curtailed as much as possible. Mrs. Schultz is survived by her husband, John Schultz, a young son, John Jr., and a brother, Leslie J. MOORE.
