Robert Lee (Jack) THOMPSON, 51, died at 6 o'clock Monday afternoon at his home, 1909 Kentucky street. He had been a resident of Lawrence for 21 years and a member of St. Luke A.M.E. church. Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Mary Thompson of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie EDWARDS and Mrs. Ella NEWMAN, both of Lawrence; one son, Emanuel Thompson, Kansas City, Mo.; two uncles, Ned Thompson and Newt Thompson, both of Marshall, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday at the A.M.E. church in Marshall, Mo. The body will lie in state at the Bowser-Gleed mortuary until 10:30 p.m. today and will be taken to Marshall, Mo., at 6:30 a.m. Thursday for services and burial in Cow Creek cemetery. Rev. B.J.
