Robert C. Whitcomb.
Word has been received of the death of Robert C. WHITCOMB, 57 years old, at
Hawthorne, Calif., Sunday. Burial will be there tomorrow. He was a resident of
Lawrence from birth until about a year ago when he and his family moved to
California to make their home. He was a well known painter and paperhanger here.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Madge Whitcomb, and a daughter, Mary B. Whitcomb,
both of the home; a son, Carlyle Whitcomb of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and a
brother, George Whitcomb, of Fredonia, Kan.
