Black. Emma Hannah WHITE was born December 25, 1870, in Brown county, Kan., and died March 3 in Lawrence. The early part of her life was spent at Gower, Mo. She later moved to McLouth. She was married February 4, 1890, to Matt BLACK. To this union were born six children, one son, Homer, died in infancy. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leah WRAY, of Lawrence, Mrs. Dora HOSKINSON, of Copeland; three sons, Frank of Williamstown, John, of Tonganoxie, Claude of Kansas City; and 16 grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church March 6. Rev. DAUGHERTY officiated. Interment in McLouth cemetery. The out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral were Mrs. Lee MILLER, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey MILLER, of Valley Falls, Mrs. James SHELDON, Winchester, Kan., Mr. and Mrs. Robert GRAHAM, Tonganoxie, Mrs. Mary DARK and Elton DARK, Lawrence, Mrs. Gerald HOLLOWAY, Lecompton.
