Billy Woodard, 15, of Eudora, Dies of Infantile Paralysis. Billy WOODARD, 15-year-old Eudora boy, died of infantile paralysis at the University of Kansas hospital in Kansas City, Kan., about 10:30 this morning. His was the second death from the disease of Douglas county residents in the recent state epidemic. A young Lawrence woman died of the disease last month. Billy Woodard would have been a junior in high school this year. He was born January 30, 1928. The disease first struck him last Tuesday by affecting his throat. he was taken to the Kansas City hospital last Friday. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Woodard, a younger brother, Bobby Woodard; and a grandmother, Mrs. H.O.
