R. Glasscock Nelson Francis Terry was born at Pardee, Kansas, March 9, 1877, and departed this life November 5, 1922 at Colorado Springs. In 1884 her parents moved to Nortonville, Kansas where she grew to womanhood. After her graduation from the Nortonville High School, with honors, she went to St. Louis and engaged herself in mission work under the Methodist church extension program. In February 1900 she came to Moline with her brother, W. T. Terry, and made her home with him until she was united in marriage with Walter R. Glasscock in November 1902. To this union three children were born. Francis, Geneva, and John Glasscock. In November 1911 Mrs. Glasscock went to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for her health and later to Colorado Springs. Early in life Mrs. Glasscock dedicated her life to God's work and has been a faithful follower of her Savior until the last. She was affliated with the Methodist church. She placed implicit faith in her Savior and often spoke of the time when the summons could come for her to meet Him face to face. Her soul was peaceful and hence no fear of death. She was a member of the Neptune Chapter Eastern No. 195 at Moline. She leaves besides her husband and children to mourn her departure, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Terry of Nortonville, Kansas, a brother, W. T. Terry of Coffeyville, Kansas, and two sisters, Mrs. D. E. Roberts of Seattle, Washington and Mrs. Will Larson of Mendon, Missouri. The body was brought from Colorado Springs to Moline where funeral services were held at the Methodist church conducted by Rev. M. G. McIntosh, Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock and interment was made in the Moline cemetery.
