R. Neff home in the north part of Howard was the scene of a very pretty wedding Sunday, April 6th, when her daughter, Miss Mabel Caroline was united in marriage to George T. Ellis of Fall River. Promptly at 2:30 the bride and groom, who were unattended, took their places beneath the beautiful flowered arch where Rev. J. W. Bayles of the Howard Baptist church read the marriage vows. After the congratulations of the immediates families, a two-course buffet luncheon was served. The color scheme of pink and white was carried out in decoration and luncheon appointments. Mrs. Ellis is one of Elk county's most successful teachers and at present is employed at Excelsior school. Mr. Ellis is a motor mechanic, having learned his trade at Wichita School for Mechanics. At the expiration of Mrs. Ellis' school, they will leave for a short vacation in Colorado.
