On Tuesday evening at the Methodist church by Rev. Jourdan, Israel H. Roy to Miss Florence J. Bessey, Miss Laura Blender and George Jolley helping lend enchantment to the scene. Mr. Roy is a relative of Israel Grennell, coming here last year from Clyde, New York and proved himself a practical farmer and good worker. Miss. Bessey is a grand daughter of Israel Grennell, has been living here several years and is congratulated by her many friends. The happy couple will take a trip to Colorado, then to the state of Washington, then on to New York to visit his relatives. And their friends hope that then they will return to Kansas, the best home for young folks startin in life. Additional Comments: Florence Bessey was the daughter of Ashley & Ella Conley Bessey/Bessy. Ella was the daughter of David R. & Angeline Hill Conley. David Conley died & Angeline married 2nd to Israel Grennell, so Florence was not a blood relative of Israel. At this time I have not been able to find the blood connection of Israel Roy to Israel Grennell.
