The Republican, Hays City, Kansas, Saturday, March 19, 1910
Another of the Ellis county early settlers has gone in the person of Mrs. 
Angeline Grennell who died at the home in Hays, Kansas last Sunday, March 13th, 
1910.  She was born in the state of New York, August 28, 1833 and had passed 
her 76th birthday.  With her husband, Israel Grennell, she came to this country 
to make a home and stayed through all the trials that go to make life in a new 
country.  The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home.  Rev. 
Smith preached from 2 Timothy 1, 12.  A large numer of the old settlers were in 
attendance.  Burial was in Hays cemetery by the side of the husband who died 
nearly five years ago.  And so they are going these pioneers who have borne the 
heat and burden of the day.

Angeline is buried in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays, KS.
