She was born in the state of New York, August 28, 1833 and had passed her 76th birthday. With her husband, Israel Grennell, she came to this country to make a home and stayed through all the trials that go to make life in a new country. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home. Rev. Smith preached from 2 Timothy 1, 12. A large numer of the old settlers were in attendance. Burial was in Hays cemetery by the side of the husband who died nearly five years ago. And so they are going these pioneers who have borne the heat and burden of the day.
