Kirtland (NOTE:way paper spelled his name), always familiary known to everybody as "Bill Berry". He came here 14 years ago and located in south Wheatland township and a couple years later married one of the daughters of Israel Grennell. Later they moved to Hays and built a cozy home on east Broadway in the Grinnell block. He leaves a sorrowing wife to mourn his death and she requests us to return her sincerest thanks to all who were so kind to her in her troubles. The funeral occurred Saturday afternoon and very largely attended, the Royal Neighbors lady lodge, which she belongs to, turning out in a body. Rev. A. N.
