Obituary of MILLER, Amandus Ellsworth County, KS no date given The Ellsworth Reporter, July 6, 1939, Page 8 GEORGE MILLER'S BROTHER DIES Amandus Miller, 91, who for the past seven or eight years has lived at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sarah Cook, 356 South ninth Street, Salina, Kansas, died there at 3:20 oclock (sic) Sunday afternoon. He was a native of Pennsylvania, where he was born on March 13, 1848, but came to Kansas in the pioneering days of 1861, settling in Ellsworth county. He lived there until a few years ago when he moved to Salina to be with his daughter. Besides Mrs. Cook there is one other daughter, Mrs. Kate Heath, Chicago, and two sons, Will of Carneiro and George of Courtland, N.Y. There are two brothers also, Andrew of Kanopolis and George of Ellsworth. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the church in Carneiro with Rev. George Meyers of Salina officiating. Burial was in the Carneiro cemetery.
