Obituary of MILLER, George Washington Ellsworth County, KS 1942 The Ellsworth Messenger, Ellsworth, Kansas, Thursday, June 25, 1942, Front page, Volume 60, Number 12 George Miller died at his home in this city Wednesday, June 17, 1942, at the age of 76 years, 10 month (sic) and 25 days. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. John A. Williams, pastor of the Presbyterian church, were held at the Grubb Funeral Home Friday afternoon, June 19. Burial was in the Ellsworth cemetery. George Washington Miller was born July 23, 1865, in South Manhem, Schnyhell county, Pa., the son of Amos and Elizabeth Miller. He came to Ellsworth county in 1886 and had resided here since that time. He was united in marriage to Anna Weightman February 14, 1895, and to this union three children were born: Hugh, Jessie and Tom. Jessied preceded her father in death March 19, 1929. The deceased is survived by his wife and two sons, Hugh of Ellsworth and Tom of Minneola, a brother, Andrew Miller, of Kanopolis, and seven grandchildren.
