Barbara K. Boese.

Barbara K. BOESE, 65, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Western Plains Medical
Complex, Dodge City.

She was born Sept. 20, 1942, to Chester and Lillian (Kroff) KELSEY at Topeka.
She first married Eugene DOVER and later married Sam BOESE Sr., in Dodge City.
He survives.

She grew up in Austin, Texas, where she attended school. She also attended Texas
Women's University in Denton.

She worked for Delmonicos Restaruant and Curtis Machine, then worked for the
Southwest Genealogy Society, all of Dodge City.

She enjoyed making stained glass windows, genealogy and music.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, the American Legion
Auxiliary and the Daughters of the American Revolution, all of Dodge City.

Other survivors include one son, Gene Dover and wife, Melissa, Pauls Valley,
Okla.; three stepsons, Sam Boese Jr., and wife, Deborah, Dodge City, John Boese,
Dodge City, and Donald Nichols and wife, Bonnie, El Dorado; a stepdaughter, Kay
Stauth and husband Steve, Dodge City; a sister, Diana Kelsey, Austin, Texas; 19
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepdaughter, Patricia Webb.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m Monday at the Fort Dodge Chapel, Fort
Dodge, with Rev. Vernon Bogart presiding. Burial will be at the Kansas Veterans'
Cemetery,  Fort Dodge.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Swain Funeral Home, Dodge City. 

Memorial can be made to the Dodge City Public Library in care of Swain Funeral
Home, 1901 Sixth Ave., Dodge City, KS 67801.
