S/O Roy and Lottie Pearl Wheeler Yardley. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II and was part of the first group of troops to land on Normandy Beach.
On Sept. 11, 1949, he married Helen J. Ehrman at Akron, Colo. She died Oct. 8,
1987. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Delbert, Curtis, Garold, Kenneth
and two infants; and three sisters, Berniece Davis, Viola Warren and an infant.
