LAMB wishes to inform the public she is prepared to do all kinds of plain and fancy sewing. Her residence is on Hickory Street in Ottawa. ========================================================================== Jun. 14, 1866 - Thursday The brick front of the building being erected by DeFORD Brothers fell to the ground Tuesday morning. Happily, it was at an hour when no one was near it to be injured. Mr. James H. HARRISON and wife, from Ladoga, Montgomery Co. Indiana is here to visit their son, J.K. Rev. J.B. LOGAN of Alton, Illinois was present and preached. The service comprised of an opening prayer by Rev. Isaac SAWYER, D.D. of the Baptist Church of Ottawa; a dedication prayer by Rev. A. JOHNSON, pastor of the Cumberland Church and benediction by Rev. Andrew PARSONS of the First Presbyterian Church of Ottawa. The weather is continued hot. Last Tuesday, J.H. WHETSTONE, of Ottawa left of Illinois via Kansas City to buy a punching machine for preparing the iron work for the new jail. Establishment of a Literary Association is in progress. Among those interested are George B. JENNESS, John R. HARRISON, Dr. J.I. PARAMORE, I.S. KALLOCH Esq. and others. Mr. Henry CRITCHFIELD and a Mr. STANSBERRY met with an accident on Friday last. A runaway of frightened horses. Mr. CRITCHFIELD had his elbow dislocated and Mr. STANSBERRY was badly bruised. Dr. WILEY said they are doing well.
