Penokee Bachelor Freezes to Death in His Home. John BRISLIN, 69, well known bachelor of Penokee, was found frozen to death on the floor of his home last Friday evening, by Ray BARNES, filling station attendant, who had gone to the Brislin home to take his mail. Brislin, it appears, had prepared to retire Thursday night when, according to Sheriff JONES, he was stricken with a sudden heart attack and fell to the floor where he was found nearly 24 hours later. He was well known in Graham county having come here from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, when he was a young man. He was a resident of Hill City for a number of years, working as a stone mason. Funeral services were held Mnday and he was buried in the Leland cemetery.
